Day 2 Freestyle Daily and inserts:

tonight was dress-up night

On Tuesday morning, we enjoyed breakfast at the buffet before exploring the ship. Thankfully the rainy weather ended!

mmm...breakfast
brave souls in the pool
basketball and shuffleboard
port shopping talk in the theater

pretty stairwells
Mandara Spa menu
deals for the spa
fitness center

The Four Seasons restaurant is one of two complimentary main dining rooms; the other is Seven Seas. The same menu is served at both venues, just different decor.

We grabbed lunch at the Great Outdoors Cafe, an extension of the buffet where you can sit al-fresco. This turned out to be our favorite buffet spot for breakfast and lunch. There are soft serve ice cream machines hidden out here as well.

doesn't look good but was fine
lots of cruise ships following each other

We then arrived at Hubbard Glacier. What a sight, with perfect weather! Kaleb and I enjoyed the view from our balcony. Our side (starboard) got to face the glacier first; the captain spun the ship around so the port side could also get a good look. We were able to witness some thunderous calving.

After the ship turned to port, we went up top to view the glacier some more.

Dinner tonight was at La Cucina, an Italian specialty restaurant. It wasn't too crowded. The meal didn't blow my mind but it was good, and dessert was yummy. Since we were using our specialty restaurant package, there was no extra charge besides optional beverages and additional gratuity you may wish to leave for exceptional service. Note that if you come here without the package, you pay the a-la-carte price on the menu.

After dinner, we roamed around the ship and listened to some live music before turning in.

Tomorrow, we arrive in Icy Strait Point...stay tuned!
